Waterfront Park is no longer a vision.
It’s here—and it belongs to everyone.
For the first time in generations, Seattle has a truly public shoreline: 20 acres of gathering space where neighbors and visitors alike can stroll, rest, play, and connect. The art is up. The pathways are open. The sound of music, community, and everyday joy fills the air.
But a park isn’t finished when it opens. That’s where the real care begins.

Now that Waterfront Park is fully realized, Friends is stepping into our next chapter: stewarding this beloved public space year-round, so it remains clean, safe, welcoming, and alive with possibility.
That means daily maintenance in partnership with Seattle Center and thoughtful programming curated alongside community partners. It means uplifting local vendors, artists, and storytellers. It means showing up for the waterfront—and everyone who gathers here.
Support the stewardship of Seattle’s shoreline. Join us in caring for what we’ve made, together.
Rest

Waterfront Park is thoughtfully maintained and joyfully activated year-round—welcoming everyone to relax, gather, and enjoy a shoreline designed with care. Whether that's a moment of joy on the swings or thoughtful reflection during a sunset at Overlook Walk, your gift today supports the vibrancy of all 20 acres.
Play

Through art, storytelling, and shared celebration, the park reflects the voices, traditions, and lived experiences that make Seattle shine. From concerts to cultural celebrations to performance art pop ups, supporting Waterfront Park is supporting a vibrant and playful arts and culture landscape.
Connect

Our partnership with Northwest Marketplaces supported the first-ever Waterfront Park Market in summer 2025. When you give, you're backing local artists, makers, and neighbors, helping to build a waterfront economy that fosters in-person connection, and reflects and uplifts our whole community.
